The Norco Horsemen’s Association exists to protect and promote the unique rural lifestyle that makes the City of Norco unlike any other city. With deep roots in animal keeping, equestrian traditions, agriculture, and large-lot living, Norco proudly lives up to its identity as Horsetown USA. NHA works to educate the community, welcome newcomers, and advocate for policies that preserve this way of life.

We are actively involved throughout the city to help ensure local leadership remains dedicated and accountable to protecting the Norco Way of Life—today and for future generations. Simply put, our mission is to help keep Norco, Norco.

Do I have to own a horse to be a member?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not have to own a horse to be a member of the Norco Horsemen’s Association. NHA is not a primary riding club. Our focus is broader—advancing horsemanship, animal keeping, agriculture, and the overall Norco Way of Life.

Many of our members simply share a love for animals, rural living, and preserving the character of Norco. If you care about agriculture, livestock, open spaces, and peaceful living, you’ll fit right in.

Do you only support equine-related projects?

No. While horses are an important part of Norco’s identity, NHA supports any effort that helps advance and protect the rural lifestyle currently enjoyed in Norco. This includes large-lot living, agriculture, animal husbandry, and community education on issues that could negatively impact these areas.

Yes, we do talk a lot about protecting horses—but they are part of a bigger picture that includes livestock, land use, and the traditions that define Norco.

Do you host formal trail rides or riding events?

NHA does not host many formal rides. Recently, we have helped lead the City of Norco’s Fourth of July Ride in partnership with another local riding group. Some members also participate in parades, and informal rides occasionally happen among members.

We strongly support other riding clubs in the city whose primary mission is to get backyard horses out on the trail and actively ridden.

Do I have to live in the City of Norco to be a member?

No. NHA offers several types of memberships

Resident Memberships: for individuals or households living within the City of Norco
Associate Memberships: for those who live outside the City of Norco but want to be involved
Business Memberships:  for businesses that support and believe in our mission

You are also welcome to attend any of our general membership meetings. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Norco American Legion, located on Old Hamner Road. We’d love for you to stop by, meet our members, and see what we’re all about.

Here is a copy of it.Social Media and Website Terms of Use Policy The Norco Horsemen’s Association (NHA) uses its website and social media platforms to share information, promote events, recognize members and volunteers, and support Norco’s rural, animal-keeping, and equestrian lifestyle. This policy explains how NHA manages its online platforms, including the NHA website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and any other official platform approved or used by NHA. This policy supports NHA’s bylaws, mission, and Code of Conduct. If this policy conflicts with NHA’s bylaws, the bylaws shall control. Any dispute related to this policy or use of NHA platforms shall be handled in Riverside County, California, unless the law requires otherwise. 1. Purpose and Administration of NHA Online Platforms NHA platforms are used to share NHA news, events, announcements, educational information, community updates, member recognition, and issues related to Norco’s rural, animal-keeping, and equestrian lifestyle. NHA’s social media pages are not intended to serve as a public forum for unlimited discussion. NHA may manage, moderate, restrict, or remove content as described in this policy. Only platforms authorized by the NHA Board of Directors, or managed by individuals designated by the Board, are considered official NHA platforms. Under the direction of the NHA Board of Directors, the designated Social Media Coordinator administers NHA social media platforms, and the designated Webmaster administers the NHA website. Other authorized officers, directors, committee members, or volunteers may assist with content, review, or moderation. 2. Public Comments and Engagement By posting, commenting, or submitting content to NHA platforms, users agree to abide by this policy.  NHA welcomes respectful comments, questions, and discussion related to NHA activities and issues affecting Norco’s rural, animal-keeping, and equestrian community. Disagreement is allowed, including on civic or community issues, as long as comments remain civil, relevant, and consistent with this policy. NHA reserves the right to hide, delete, remove, or restrict comments or content that, as determined by NHA, includes any of the following: ·      Profanity, vulgar language, or obscene content.·      Personal attacks, name-calling, or insults.·      Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or threats.·      Spam, scams, repetitive posts, unrelated links, or unauthorized commercial advertising or promotions.·      Political campaign content, including support for or opposition to specific candidates, parties, or campaign committees.·      False, misleading, or deceptive information.·      Off-topic comments unrelated to the original post or NHA’s purpose.·      Content that encourages illegal activity.·      Content that violates intellectual property, privacy rights, or the rights of others.·      Personal information such as private addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or other sensitive information without permission.·      Content inconsistent with NHA’s mission, values, bylaws, or Code of Conduct. NHA may turn off comments, limit comments, remove tagging ability, or restrict sharing features when necessary to manage a post, protect individuals, reduce misinformation, or maintain a respectful online environment. Users who repeatedly violate this policy may be blocked, muted, restricted, or otherwise limited from engaging with NHA platforms. Decisions to hide, delete, restrict, or review content are made by NHA consistent with this policy. NHA platforms may not be used for candidate promotion, candidate opposition, partisan campaign activity, campaign fundraising, or personal political campaigning. Consistent with NHA’s bylaws and mission, NHA may share information or take positions on policies, projects, land-use matters, trail issues, animal-keeping issues, zoning, public safety, rural preservation, or similar matters when approved or authorized by the Board. Members, officers, directors, committee members, and volunteers should not use NHA’s name, logo, events, website, social media platforms, or official communication channels to promote personal political views, candidates, campaigns, or causes. 4. Anyone who believes content on an NHA platform infringes their rights may contact the Social Media Coordinator with a description of the concern and proof of ownership. NHA will review the matter and may remove content when appropriate. Users should avoid posting private or sensitive personal information on NHA platforms. NHA may remove content that includes personal information, private disputes, accusations involving specific individuals, or information about minors. NHA may photograph or record public NHA events, meetings, rides, activities, and programs. By attending a public NHA event or activity, participants may be photographed or recorded.
