Our 21st Anniversary Ride was held on June 6th at Hidden Valley. For those of you who don't know this, Hidden Valley is 1500 acres. We made an incredible loop around the park and enjoyed not only each others company but a a variety of scenery.

We headed east for the open spaces, circled round in more sandy terrain, found some shade in the bamboo and came back by the power station.

When we got back, the Lions had prepared a fantastic lunch - chicken, potato salad and beans. Though many asked, the Lions were not willing to share their recipes. Can't blame them though. It's easy to understand why the Lions are in such high demand.

While we waited for results. Terri Baker officiated Red Neck horseshoes. Congradulations to Troy Nicola, Danny and Kathy Azevedo's grandson. Jim Corely took second and Janet Damron placed third.

Troy and Jim not only won at Redneck Horse Shoes, they were also the youngest and oldest riders to participate in this event.

There was a really great selection of prizes. A full house won the 24ft Pipe Corral donated by Valley Cities/Gonzales Fence Company . There were many hand-crafted items donated. Those went quickly, but it always pays to buy a few hands. Many a high pair went home with prizes.
