Saturday, June 26, 2010, turned out to be a perfect weather day for what may become a new tradition for the Norco Horsemen's Association.
A Day 4 Your Horse with Ray Ariss was held at the Starbrite Riding Academy in Norco.

Six NHA Members, chosen by drawing, each brought their horses and worked individually with Ray to address a variety of common challenges horse owner's experience.

The NHA members interacted with Ray throughout the day, asking questions ranging from his tools and methods to specific issues they were experiencing with their own horses.

During lunch, the audience was treated to a demonstration by Bob Mundy and his new mustang, Third Time's A Charm. Bob is preparing his mustang for the Supreme Challenge to be held in Fort Worth, Texas in August.

The day ended with a drawing for several 50 lb bags of Kruse feed, and one Extreme Equine Crossover Clinic with Ray.

Don't forget about Cowboy Christmas, December 5th, 6th and 7th. We'll meet-up at the Las Vegas Hilton. We have an NHA package for the three nights for $299.00 double occupancy which includes 2 rodeo tickets ($140.00 value) for a particular day to the first 40 reservations (80 tickets in all) and 2 buffet tickets to everyone. There is the Sports Book for anyone whom would rather watch the rodeo from a big screen TV or small personal TVs (with restrooms and snack bar right close by!)

Then there is the Cowboy Christmas shopping that is literally right out the door from the Hilton! This also looks to be a whole lot of fun and saves us some mullah with the group rates and freebies!

Also, we are starting to plan our Christmas Party. Mark your calendars for December 11th. It will be held right here in Norco at Nellie Weaver Hall.

Please join us at the Activities Committee Meeting to firm up the Christmas Party plans. We meet the last Monday of the month but that being Memorial Day in May we'll be meeting the 4th Monday of May which is the 24th, at the Silverado restaurant on 6th Street at Corona Ave. in Norco. The meeting starts at 7:00 but please join us anytime after 6:00 for dinner before the meeting. We have a lot of fun there too!
